Story of Lunarlaf

it all began on AOL

In the spring of 1995, America On Line (AOL) was born. I wanted to be a part of it. I remember driving to Ballard one evening and walking into a computer store and buying a computer and a modem. I had to be part of the chatroom phenomenon. It was like it was built for me. My favorite chatroom was called women's space.  

Everyone had screen names. I channeled mine and it was Lunarlaf: “Laugh at the moon; maybe she'll laugh back.” You know the funny thing is that I usually hate misspelled words, but this was just meant to be. I am not someone who has a moon hyperfixation but I am enthralled by them, and in particular earth's moon and all her powers over us. 

Now it's 2026 and I have opened my private practice and call it Lunarlaf Counseling--new beginnings for my old friend lunarlaf who has been with me since last century!
